And with head turning looks, the fun factor will be right off the scale.

This supermoto-inspired bike is built for riders who spend more time on paved surfaces, not that the occassional dirt road is going to slow anybody donw much. Directly descended from our YZ and WR off-road machines, the WR250X makes Yamaha's off-road prowess street accessible.

The all new WR250X … one look tells you this is a machine ready to deliver some serious fun.

The WR250X is a jewel of Yamaha engineering. From the all new 250cc fuel injected, EXUP equipped, 4-valve powerplant to a real Supermoto spec chassis,
the WR250 is built to offer class leading performance, uncompromised styling and unmatched riding excitement. Exceeding your expectations.

FEATURES:

All new, liquid-cooled, 249cc, DOHC, 4-valve, DOHC, 4-stroke powerplant with super light titanium intake valves and electronic fuel injection.

Super convenient electric starting means fast, sure starts.

Hassle free automatic decompression system ensures fast restarts in any gear.

Lightweight magnesium cylinder head cover helps reduce weight.

All new, double overhead cam, 4-valve combustion chamber features a compact "pent-roof" design for maximum breathing efficiency. Shim under bucket type valve adjustment is used.

Downdraft -type straight design intake port provides the most efficient intake flow for maximum engine performance.

Intake side, lightweight titanium valves and load-reduced springs decrease weight by more than 40% (Vs steel valves). Titanium valves reduce reciprocating mass for faster-revving, plus reduced frictional losses for smoother-hitting power delivery across the rev range. Intake valves are 30mm in diameter, while the steel exhaust valves are 24.5mm in diameter.

Steep valve angles, 11.5 degrees on the intake side and 12.5 degrees on the exhaust produce a more compact combustion chamber.

Dual electrode NGK CR9EK spark plug is located in the centre of the combustion chamber for fast, controlled combustion and great throttle response.

Ceramic composite cylinder provides excellent heat dissipation for consistent power delivery, reduced oil consumption, reduced friction for increased power and reduced weight.

Special cylinder design features cutaways that allow the air "trapped" under the piston to enter a side chamber (or cutaway) to reduce horsepower-robbing "pumping losses."

New design crankcases also utilize cutaways to reduce "pumping losses." The crankcase cutaways match the cutaways in the cylinder to reduce 'pumping losses.

The new crankcases feature a "tri-axis" design for the crankshaft, main and drive axles. This tri-axis design keeps the crankcases more compact while also centralizing mass for better handling. All of the shafts are positioned low in the cases to maintain a low centre of gravity for great handling and maneuverability.

All new, lightweight, high strength, short-skirt, forged aluminum piston provides great durability and its lightweight design means fast engine response.

Lightweight roller bearing style crankshaft with optimized mass delivers excellent response and strong acceleration.

Single balancer shaft reduces vibration for improved rider comfort and reduced rider fatigue

Special design high performance camshafts (intake & exhaust) provide outstanding class leading power. The cams feature a new WPC (Wonder Process Craft) treatment that increases surface hardness for great durability and reduced sliding resistance.

Wet sump lubrication system is used. This system reduces weight and the number of moving parts versus a dry sump system. Piston oil cooler nozzle is used to maintain consistent piston temperatures for durability.

Oil volume in engine has been optimized to reduce weight and oil "drag" related power losses.

Easy access paper-type oil filter is used.

Compact design "clip stopper"- type hydraulic automatic cam chain tensioner reduces maintenance and mechanical engine noise.

38mm, Mikuni electronic throttle body type fuel injection system is used (38EIS). This system is a return-less FI system with TPS (throttle position sensor). This system provides excellent throttle response, great fuel economy, reduced emissions and a choke-free design. Throttle response and acceleration are excellent.

Long nozzle type 12 hole injectors are used and provide a dual spray pattern for best in class performance.

Easy to service 4.1 liter airbox with a new intake control valve provides state of the art intake and emission control. The foam air filter is a washable design

Compact 16 bit ECU features 3D ignition mapping to accommodate the engine power characteristics. The ECU provides optimal timing at all rpms for fast engine response.

Lightweight direct ignition coil is integrated into the plug cap to reduce weight and complexity

Wide ratio 6-speed transmission features gear ratios designed for both on and off road riding. This transmission adopts a "shower type" lubrication system for great reliability.

Heavy-duty clutch matches engine output and offers a light, progressive clutch feel with less lever effort for smoother shifting.

Quick-access, lightweight aluminum outer clutch cover allows fast, easy access to the clutch.

All new, single, 9.5KW rad is used. The "exhausted air" (after it has passed through the rad) is directed away from the rider for excellent rider comfort. An electric cooling fan maintains consistent engine temperatures even in stop and go traffic. The single rad is located on the left side of the fuel tank.

Lightweight, compact "rare-earth-type" ACM (Alternative Current Magnet … 14V & 350W) is used.

Lightweight exhaust system features a stainless steel header pipe and a compact 3-stage expansion type upswept muffler with a honeycomb catalytic converter to reduce exhaust emissions. This system maximizes engine power and allows hassle-free replacement of the oil filter. It features a cleanable screen-type spark arrestor. Heat shields protect rider and passenger.

The exhaust system also features Yamaha's EXUP System (Exhaust Ultimate Power Valve). The single butterfly valve prevents the "blow back" phenomenon caused by "valve overlap". The EXUP system eliminates "flat spots" in the power band and reduces emissions too.

Solenoid activated AIS (Air Induction System) reduces harmful exhaust emissions like carbon dioxide and hydro carbons.

All new, lightweight, compact aluminum semi-double-cradle frame features a variety of components. The main frame is cast aluminum, while forged aluminum is used under the main frame below the steering head area and separate detachable down tubes are thin walled high tensile steel. Yamaha has maintained the semi double cradle design to allow for "controlled flex" to optimize suspension action. This frame design provides a low centre of gravity for a light feel and razor sharp handling, plus less rider fatigue, and excellent stability.

Detachable high tensile steel rear sub frame is constructed of round steel pipe. The detachable design provides easy rear suspension access and reduces costs in the event of loop out. .

Lightweight, tapered, aluminum swingarm features a mix of extruded, cast and forged parts. The main arms are extruded while the cross member at the front is cast and the rear portion at the chain adjusters are forged. This unique rear arm provides the best rigidity-strength balance plus a dynamic look too. The suspension links are located below the arm to maintain a low center of gravity for razor sharp handling.

46mm, adjustable inverted, Kayaba cartridge fork provide excellent suspension performance. Front wheel travel is 270mm (10.6"). Front fork adjustments include: 20-way compression damping and 19-way rebound damping. NOTE: The fork settings are different and unique for the X / Supermoto version

POWER, PERFORMANCE AND LEADING-EDGE DESIGN PUT THE KAWASAKI Z1000 AT THE FRONT OF THE PACK

Whether you refer to them as “naked” bikes or “standard” bikes, the look says it all for these motorcycles that emphasize power, backroad agility, and a certain type of rider individuality. Kawasaki’s Z1000 is no exception to this rule, and rightfully takes its place among the most desired of this breed of “nakedness.”

The Z1000 backs this aggressive, super naked style with an in-line four-cylinder, DOHC 16-valve engine, which produces tractable power for hard acceleration in any rpm range. The lightweight, all-aluminum cylinder block, with chrome composite plated lining for wear resistance and superior heat dispersion are features borrowed from the Kawasaki NINJA® sportbike line.
Digital fuel injection utilizing 38mm throttle bodies and sub-throttle valves promote smooth, responsive engine operation with less fuel consumption. The high-speed 32-bit digital ignition provides precise engine management and enhances the fuel injection system.

Keeping the entire engine cool is a large-area radiator with an electric fan that maintains operating temperatures at the optimum level. Simultaneously, a liquid-cooled oil cooler helps keep the six-speed transmission operating at maximum performance. Part of the Z1000’s allure lies in the four stainless steel mufflers that are heat-treated to an attractive golden color. Enhancing its appeal is the Kawasaki Low Exhaust Emissions (KLEEN®) catalyzer system that helps keep exhaust emissions that flow through the quad mufflers environmentally friendly. In select markets, an additional honeycomb catalyzer system reduces emissions even further.

The Z1000’s engine is mounted in a rigid, yet lightweight diamond frame with thin-walled tubes, which contributes to responsive handling performance. The engine itself is mounted as a stressed member of the frame, adding an unflappable feel to the chassis. Plus, a detachable right front-top engine mount eases maintenance.

At the front of the frame, an inverted fork with 41mm tubes delivers exceptional stability and steering performance. To meet the requirements of different riding conditions, the fork is rebound adjustable. In addition, the fork offset is designed to improve handling and provide a fluid ride.

On the rear, an extruded-aluminum swingarm features a hexagonal structure with ribbing for reduced weight and exceptional rigidity. Attached to the swingarm is Kawasaki’s bottom link UNI-TRAK® system that produces progressive force to the nitrogen gas-charged shock as the suspension is compressed. The shock is equipped with a piggyback reservoir and a rebound damping adjustment.

Contributing to the Z1000’s superb handling characteristics are 17-inch rims and radial tires. The tires offer excellent traction, while the rims look great with a polished finish that contrasts nicely with painted hubs and spokes. Front brakes are dual semi-floating 300mm discs gripped by lightweight four-piston calipers, while the rear brake caliper holder is also designed for low weight and mounts directly to the swingarm.

The seat cowl with LED taillight, swingarm-mounted inner fender and front fender are all designed to give the Z1000 an aggressive, sporty image. The galvanized steel fuel tank is slender and helps create a seating position that is comfortable while allowing the rider to mold to the machine naturally. The bikini cowl with dual, multi-reflector headlights helps to accentuate the bike’s provocative lines.

The bikini-type cowl covers and protects a lightweight, compact instrument cluster featuring a bar-type LCD tachometer and digital LCD speedometer. In addition to a digital temperature gauge, clock, tripmeter and fuel gauge is a comprehensive range of indicator lamps.

Efficient performance for the everyday rider

The Kawasaki Ninja® 500R offers stable handling and friendly power delivery for new riders, coupled with Ninja styling and willing performance for the more experienced motorcyclist.

Providing excellent fuel economy and an affordable purchase price, the 500R is also a great choice for those who are looking to ease the crunch of soaring gas prices and add some fun to their daily commute.

Expert and beginning riders will appreciate the Ninja 500R’s liquid-cooled, inline twin-cylinder four-stroke engine. With dual overhead cams actuating four valves per cylinder, the snappy motor is user-friendly and inspirational.
Exploring the top end of this engine’s rev range is entertaining for even the most seasoned riders.

The high-performance engine isn't the only selling point for the Ninja 500R. On twisty back roads, the bike’s lightweight, compact design makes for a great-handling machine. This is complemented by Kawasaki’s UNI-TRAK® rear suspension system, with a progressive linkage similar to the larger-displacement Ninja models.

The Ninja 500R also has the same sporty styling, which contribute to both form and function—the aerodynamic half-fairing provides wind protection for the rider, and is stylishly complemented by a lower fairing.

2008 Triumph Daytona 675

Lean machine.

As the first three-cylinder super sports middleweight, the Daytona 675 is a force to be reckoned with in the most hotly contested arena in motorcycling. The Daytona 675 has won countless comparison tests and for the past two years has taken both the MasterBike and Supertest ‘King of the Supersport’ crowns. With its exciting, powerful engine and intuitive, razor sharp chassis the Daytona 675 has reinvented the supersports middleweight map. The Daytona IS incomparable.

The Urban Sports Range - The 675cc and 1050cc triple engines that power Triumph’s stunning sports bikes are renowned for their strength and flexibility from tickover to redline. The range includes Streetfighters, Supersports, Adventure Sports and Sports Touring bikes all with unique character, real world performance and a distinctive triple roar.

FEATURES:

Engine
The 675cc, water-cooled, three cylinder, 12-valve power unit is extremely compact, featuring a Keihin fuel injection system and a stacked six-speed close ratio gearbox. Peak power of 123bhp is delivered at 12500rpm, with 53ft.lbf torque at 11750rpm. While the Daytona 675’s engine is refined, the triple’s innate character remains with typical Triumph toughness engineered all the way through.

Frame
The Daytona 675’s aluminum frame is fabricated with open-back cast spars which wrap over the top of the motor, accentuating the benefits of the narrow three-cylinder design. The lightest frame in its class, it weighs in at a mere 19.18lb

Suspension
The Daytona 675’s suspension consists of top quality, fully adjustable Kayaba 41mm upside down forks and a fully adjustable piggyback reservoir rear shock. This track-bred suspension gives razor sharp handling and can be tuned by the rider to suit their own style. The Daytona 675 turns at the speed of thought, is glued to the road and stunningly agile.

Instruments
The Daytona 675’s digital instrument console has all the usual trip functions as well as displaying average fuel economy. Also featured is a sophisticated lap timer – useful for comparing successive lap times on a circuit as well as average and maximum speed for each lap.

Brakes
Radial calipers and master cylinder on floating 308mm discs give the best brakes in the business.
